Who We Are

The Pilgrimage Inc. is a nonprofit ministry with a focus on spiritual formation and direction. The ministry was founded to accompany individuals, foster online and in-person community, and collaborate with churches through spiritual formation practices and programs.

Our focus has historically been on those unmoored from the traditional church, and we continue to identify and provide care for all who are seeking to retain their connection to Jesus while reorienting their relationship with the Church.

After ten years of this ministry, however, dynamics are changing, and some are longing to re-engage in-person Christian community. Yet these clients and members report difficulty in finding a place to enfold them that “understands where I’ve been.”

We are therefore increasingly seeking to partner actively and practically with churches as well, assisting in whatever ways we can to help them be a hospitable home to which people wandering with Jesus can return.

This 501(c)(3) organization affirms the faith summarized in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds and seeks to operate in harmony with the historic Christian Church.

The human stories Jennifer carries and her ability to shepherd people through difficult times inform her ministry and writing. Jennifer’s additional background in literature and theology gives her imaginative ways of retelling and teaching stories of the Bible and encouraging people to live within their own stories better. Jennifer is currently pursuing a DMin in Spiritual Formation for Leaders.

Jennifer has written two novels and a nonfiction spiritual formation book about identity in Christ, illustrated through the story of Simon Peter. Jennifer and her husband Paul live in New England with their rescue dogs, an impressive garden, and an astonishing array of wildlife.
